Garlic Parmesan Wings

Recipe by Stephanie Manley

Have you ever craved the sizzling crunch of parmesan gratings among the garlic-rubbed surface of a perfectly tender chicken wing? Stephanie Manley's Garlic Parmesan Wings recipe takes on the challenge of recreating the amazing wings served at Wingstop. Her recipe takes a position in the middle grounds of aesthetic beauty and desirable flavor. Whether or not you are a fan of chicken wings, this is a dish you need to try.

What You'll Need:

2 pounds chicken wings

2 cups all purpose flour

2 teaspoons seasoned salt

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

1/4 cup butter

2 teaspoons garlic powder

2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese

Parsley for garnish - optional

Step-By-Step Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 350°F.

Create the dry mix: all-purpose flour, seasoned salt, cayenne pepper, and ground black pepper.

Cut the wings into their sections and smother the dry rub all over the wings.

Using either a deep fryer, or a large heavy pot, heat the oil to 350°F and deep fry the wings for about 5 to 7 minutes. After this, drain them on a wire rack. It may be worth considering frying the wings 5-6 at a time depending on the size of the frier.

Bake the wings in the oven for about 15 minutes or until the point of thoroughly cooked chicken.

Preparing the sauce: melt butter and the garlic powder in a small pan, and place the cooked wings into a large bowl. Half of the Parmesan cheese should be stirred into the melted butter, and this mix should be poured over the wings. A final coating or sprinkle of Parmesan should do the trick for serving.
